“We may be very busy, we may be very efficient, but we will also be truly effective only when we begin
with the end in mind.”

-Steven R. Covey

Value Proposition

Vergys is committed to honoring the original premise of management consulting – providing independent counsel to organizations and leaders based on learned experiences in order to ensure positive outcomes. Our commitment is achieved by employing the best and brightest, being truly honest with our clients, focusing on sustainable and actionable results and truly valuing our client’s resources.

Some consultancies have lost sight of the value proposition for management consulting. Profit motives clouded the judgment of executives, managers, and even project teams. It became more important to find a long-term client than an effective short-term solution. Consulting firms would “hide” consultants on projects rather than always offering the best and brightest resources. Consulting partners were rewarded for selling good work rather than doing good work. These perverse incentives have raised the costs of consulting but not the value generated.

At Vergys we recognize that a typical consulting project includes many costs: acquisition, on-boarding, execution, knowledge transfer, operational, and indirect. We strive to minimize these costs by thoughtfully reusing and customizing standard best practices and artifacts (see Artifacts), absorbing costs associated with project management and on-boarding, focusing on knowledge transfer from the project kickoff, and using the right resources – not just available resources. These tactics not only reduce costs to our clients, but increase the value provided.
